On June 14th I’ll be a part of the Toronto Animation Arts Festival International hosting a panel called “Playing In Someone Else’s Sandbox – SAMURAI JACK, FIGMENT, and More!”

Animator and comic writer Jim Zub talks about the advantages and challenges involved when working with established fictional franchises including Samurai Jack, Disney’s Journey Into Imagination attraction, Street Fighter, Batman, Conan, and many more. Tips for breaking into the business, writing techniques, amusing anecdotes, and more.

I’m pretty damn happy with how it all turned out. Hanzo and Melissa did a wonderful job on the artwork and Marshall delivered the goods on the lettering, as always.

The Exalted mini-series for UDON was my first “pro” writing (well, co-writing actually) gig back in 2005. It was fun to dip my toe back in the Exalted waters again 9 years later.
